If you are a Thai beef noodle lover, then you have got to try Wattana Panich.
The beef is so tender and palatable, the soup is seriously amazing.
Check out that broth cooked in the huge cauldron for hours. The stove looks melted and fused with the huge pot after years of cooking! That is probably the secret to their great tasting broth!
The serving is not exactly huge so if you want a full meal, you will probably need to order 2 bowls to yourself. I read from other reviews online that their goat stew is equally good if not better. So that is another dish you can consider trying when you are there.
It’s a tad more pricey than usual but it is all well worth the money and time spent braving the traffic jam to get there. Total bill was THB 225 for 2 bowls of beef noodles and 2 drinks.
Best way to get there is to take a taxi from Ekkamai or Thonglor. It was 90% full on a Sunday afternoon at 3 pm. I can imagine the long wait you have to endure if you go during peak hours.
