Icon Siam is the talk of the town. Icon Siam is a mixed-use development on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in Bangkok, Thailand. It includes a large shopping mall, which opened to the public on 10 November 2018, as well as hotels and residences.
Getting To Icon Siam:
There will be a future MRT station that will bring visitors to the mall directly. It is the Gold Line and is currently under construction. For now, you can get off at Saphan Taksin BTS and then transit to Icon Siam via the free River Taxi. It’s a short and chill ride.
Alternatively, you can just take a taxi or Grabcar over.
The mall when I visited in December was not yet fully operational. There are a number of F&B outlets that are yet to open.
All the major luxury brands can be found in Icon Siam and on the ground level, they created a pseudo-floating market indoors.
Overall, the mall is very impressive and if you have the time, you should definitely go check it out. It is a beautiful place to capture some lovely photos.
I am sure by now, Icon Siam should be fully opened.
On a side note, if you are expecting to haul lots of shopping, then you might be disappointed unless you are going for the branded and luxury items.
Moreover, whatever you can find in Icon Siam, chances are you will find them in EmQuatier and Central Embassy as well. (Plus it’s so much more accessible!)
