I am a frequent traveller to Bangkok, because of the close proximity of Bangkok to Singapore. Bangkok is always evolving, always changing. When I am back a few weeks ago, the Insanity Nightclub in Sukhumvit Soi 12 (ASOKE BTS/Sukhumvit MRT) is undergoing renovation. The plot of land behind Korea Town is flattened, probably a new development is coming along.
The BTS line in Bangkok is extending. The last stop is no longer Bearing on the Eastern end. It is being replaced by a new station Samrong.
There is a shopping mall, Imperial World Samrong, connected by a sheltered path from Samrong BTS. The things in the mall are amazingly low cost. One small piece of Sushi is selling at 5 baht (about S$0.20).
The massage at the basement 1 is 200baht/hr(about $8/hr), one of the cheapest around.
Of course, if you brought your kids to this trip, it will be a good idea to leave them either on the top floor or basement, where there is an indoor playground for kids age 3 and above. The damage is 100baht/hr (about $4/hr).
There is a cinema in this mall. Wednesday is the movie day, where movies are going for 100baht (about S$4) per person.
Around the mall are markets/night markets. You can easily spend half a day here.
Location: Samrong BTS (Imperial World Samrong)
Opening Hours: 1030am – 900pm
