I just had to try it. I know it sounds weird to put nasi lemak in a burger but somehow, it works! As a novelty, just for Singapore’s National Day, this was something extremely different and tasty.
I just love the thought that went into the packaging. It was like opening up an authentic packet of nasi lemak in brown paper.
As a novelty, this just works. I perhaps will not eat it more than once or twice but then that is the point about something like this. It is not going to make you give up your traditional nasi lemak, nor will it replace McDonald’s burger menus. However, as something different at this time of the year, this just works. The amazing thing is that this actually tastes like nasi lemak! Oh and the Bandung McFizz was interesting.
There are other limited editi, n items like coconut pie, chendol McFlurry, chendol Melaka twist, kueh salat cake and pandan coco frappe but I’ll leave them for the next visit!
