I use to frequent this uncle’s stall at Blk 40 Beo Crescent when I needed an awesome plate of fried Hokkien Mee.
He subsequently left the place to someone else and the quality and taste just do not match up to his standard. It was only recently I learned from a friend that he has shifted and is operating in a coffee shop over at Alexandra Village.
The uncle serves up a ‘dryer’ and creamy version of the fried Hokkien Mee. The ‘Wok Hei’ is solid and he is not stingy with the chili sauce. (just feel free to ask for more chili if you want!)
After so many years, the standard still certainly doesn’t disappoint. To me, this is one of the best fried Hokkien Prawn Sotong Mee in Singapore. You definitely should go check it out if you are in the area.
The good thing is he starts operating from rather early in the morning. Perfect breakfast choice! Referring to the picture below, you can even give him a call for advance mass order.
