As of my past 2 visits, Mont Nom Sod is still a hidden gem. Very popular with the locals but perhaps not so well known amongst tourists.
Located inside MBK Center, which is easily accessible via BTS National Stadium station, Mont Nom Sod serves up some pretty wicked toast bread.
The signage states since 1964. That is a pretty long history of toast bread. I read online that they started as a roadside stall and today, there are several outlets all over Thailand.
The way they managed to make the toast, crispy on the outside yet soft and fluffy on the inside.
You get to choose from a variety of toppings. Some are only available on specific days. If you are there for the first time, the popular choices are condensed milk, coconut custards, and sugar.
Mont Nom Sod is also supposedly known for the milk drinks as well but I have yet to try any so far.
Service is prompt and turnover is fast. I would highly recommend you head over and try their toast if you are visiting Bangkok soon!
