By default, scissors curry rice is just economical rice with a huge glob of curry over it. However, the curry makes a whole world of difference. Not every curry rice stall is made equal and Eleven Finger (Eu Kee) Scissors Curry Rice is a cut above the rest.
Located just behind Bugis+, this place can be difficult to locate. Simply put, it is the first coffeeshop when you cross the road from the entrance of Bugis+. There is an unsheltered car park just beside it.
The setup is pretty barebone but then so are most of such curry rice stalls. The braised pork and Chap Chye (White Cabbages) taste awesome and are a must-have. There was just one lady tending to the stall thus it took some time to get my food even though there were only 4 people in the queue.
Curry rice never looks good aesthetically. Taste-wise, this was awesome. There was something tangy in the curry and the braised pork was exceptionally soft and delectable. Hey, don’t take my word for it. Give it a try when you are in the area! My plate of awesomeness cost $3.50. Since it is near my office, there can be no excuses not to make this my usual lunch haunt.
