If you are around Kovan, do try this beef noodle stall. I’ve always had a thing for a good bowl of beef noodles and this stall is perhaps my all time favourite.
The key to a good bowl of beef noodles is always the gravy and the soup and I can safely say that this stall does not disappoint on both fronts. I usually order the dry version and instead of kway teow I usually have noodles. It costs $4 for a bowl and if you are really hungry you can bump up your order to $5. It is a bit disappointing that they do not serve crushed peanuts to go with the beef kway teow like before. They discontinued doing so about 3-4 years ago.
The stall opens at 830 am and usually has a limited variety of meat types by about 2pm. Try to avoid the peak period which is around lunch time as the queue can be rather long. Remember to grab a generous serving of chinchalok (fermented shrimps). It goes really well with the beef.
In my opinion, the best bowl of beef noodles you can find.
