These days having a burger for a meal is not about going to the nearest Macdonald’s or Burger King outlet. We want gourmet burgers. Something a little more upmarket. These days a burger is an indulgence, not a quick meal.
Well, Bergs does this rather well. I have to say that their presentation looks as good as their burgers. The only thing I would point out is that the difference between their two sizes, BERG and Small, are almost non-existent. I had the BERG sized Berg with Cheese and it did not differ much in size as compared to my friend’s Small Miss Piggy burger. Oh yes, this is what makes up the Berg with cheese and the Miss Piggy burger.
Berg with cheese: The Classic BERG, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Aioli & BERGS Sauce with your choice of Cheddar, Swiss or Blue Cheese.
Miss Piggy: Prime Beef Pattie, Streaky Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Red Onion, Cheddar Cheese, Aioli & BERGS Sauce.
A BERG sized Berg with cheese cost me $14.50. I added $5 to my burger to get chips and a glass of lemonade. Prices are all around this range. The smaller burger would cost about $2-3 less.
The burger tasted rather good. The patty was maybe slightly dry but then this is me nitpicking. I liked the sauce. It was really good.
There are three Bergs outlets currently. Far East Square, East Coast Road, and Haji Lane. I was at the East Coast Road outlet. The ambience was really good and pleasant.
